Two Weeks Old!

I am happy to report I am two weeks old today. It's been a great week for me. On my Grandmommy's birthday, my third cousin, Landon Carroll was born...way to go, Cara! As you can see, I'm still quite a bewitching creature and plan to continue to lay on the charm pretty thick so my parents keep me around.

I'm Only Human...

I guess I don't have to tell you what's going on here.

Watching the Astros

Isn't this the look everyone has watching the Astros these days? I wore my Rookie onesie in honor of my favorite player, Hunter Pence, but even he did not have a great week. However, I did get to see Craig Biggio get his 3000th hit and was deeply moved. I also thought it was nice that he brought out that hipster doofus with the weird chin hair to share in his moment...I guess he owed him money or something.

Three Golden Retrievers and a Baby

Here I am relaxing with Daddy in my room. If you are scoring at home, there are three golden retrievers in this picture, but only one is real. My parents are so weird.

Licking his Chops

Grandmas, was there a moment sometime this week where you all of a sudden got a terrible feeling about me? Well, it was probably at the same moment this picture was being taken. Just kidding, Ricky Roy has been a perfect big brother and is quite loving and protective of me. He's also severely depressed since my arrival, but Daddy is trying to pull him out of that.

VISITORS!!!

I sure was lucky this week to have lots and lots of visitors. This is my new friend, Josh Schaffer. Since I have already seen Bull Durham, he didn't teach me any new words, but maybe some new ways to use them. I also had visitors from 3/4 of my grandparents, all of whom braved unprecedented rainstorms to see me. Although not pictured, I also received visits from Jennifer and Shannon, who made day trips to see me and hold me. Mommy clearly was derelict in her photo duties, otherwise they would be on the blog right now as well.

I'm One Week Old!

Today, at 11:58 a.m., I turned one week old. To celebrate, I had an early Halloween. I was not at all mortified, as this picture might suggest. I dressed up as a little lamb in honor of the Nerds and Susan, who gave me the nifty lamb lovey with my name on it. You guys are the best!!

Now I know how Jon-Benet felt.......

I feel like Ralphie in "A Christmas Story" - I guess Mom & Dad got tired of dressing up RickyRoy and lucky me, I'm their new project!

The Obligatory Bathing Picture

I guess it was bound to happen. I would get "waterboarded" and my parents would think it hilarious to not only photograph the ordeal, but then take it a step further by posting the humiliating experience on the internet. Fortunately, they have the decency to censor the image.

Does this need a Caption?

Sorry, but I'm cute.

Ohhh, I love my Soothie.

For those of you who don't have a critter like me, a Soothie is a marvelous invention that keeps my mouth occupied and oftentimes keeps me from screaming like a madman.

It's Never Too Early to Pray

Look at me, I'm a prayin' fool. Nobody even taught me how to do it, I'm just a very spiritual baby, always have been. I start every prayer with, "I hope my parents remember to feed me and that Ricky Roy doesn't eat my head."

Daddy and Me

This here is my Pops. We enjoy lots of play time and today, we watched Bull Durham, and even let Mommy in on the fun. I was unfazed by the copious amounts of adult language and adult situations, but I'm kind of a big boy. I learned that candlesticks always make a good gift and that when I'm interviewed once I get to "The Show," I should say I'm just happy to be here.

Dude Time

Here is some play time between me and my best friend, George Eastland. He's playing it pretty cool, but what you don't see in this picture is that after I stopped crying, we arm-wrestled and I won, thus leaving him crying. I don't know where the camera was then, but trust me, it happened.

I miss Grandmommy already...

Grandmommy stayed with us for a few days after we got home. I was really scared when she left because I wasn't sure if my parents know what the heck they're doing. I'm still pretty sure they don't, but so far so good, so I'm just gonna go with it and hope for the best.

This is my Gruncle

This is my Gruncle, or Great Uncle Tom, if you must be official. He and my Graunt Sherry visited me in the hospital and brought us fajitas when we got home. I'm sorry that my Graunt didn't make it on the blog, but I thought this picture was too good to pass up. I still love you, Graunt Sherry, and you can come over and hold me anytime.

Grace Under Water

This is an actual photo of my momma after I broke her water. What a trooper. She told me she was going to send me "a bill" later for repairs, but I just acted like I was asleep becuase I didn't get it.

Who turned on the lights?!

I came from where? Through what?! Would it kill someone to wipe me off and get me a onesie?!

I'm on a Weight Watcher

... or some people call it a scale. I'm not inflating stats when I say I was 7 lbs. 5 oz. - the doctors told me I could round up from 7 lbs. 4.7 oz.

Now, give me a minute - you are who again?

Look, cut me some slack - I've only been around a couple of minutes and I'm already the most popular kid in the hospital. I had a lot of visitors and if I spat up on any of you I apologize.

And they say I cry a lot.....

I met this guy after the doctors woke him up after fainting. He seems like a real hero......

Awww, Mom ... people are going to see us....

Let me tell you folks, this here is one amazing lady, especially to be kissing on me after what I put her through. I gotta tell you, knowing she's there for me has really gotten me through the past 54 hours....

What are you going to do?

You know, sometimes you just have to shrug your shoulders and role with the punches. So I spit up on my baseball shirt, so what - life goes on....

Extreme Close-Up

Here I am just soaking it all in with my baby-blues (now, the doctors say we won't know what color my eyes will be until about six weeks). Pardon me if I appear a bit wide-eyed, it's been a pretty intense couple of days....

Homeward Bound

Here's me in the last moments of my stay at the hospital.

Ladies! Please, there's plenty of grandson to go around!

I don't recommend gettin' caught between two loving grandmas, it can get pretty fierce! I'm just kiddin', here are my beautiful grandmothers, Marion and Ann Louise.

Happy [Grand]fathers Day!

This here's my grandpa, Greg - my daddy's daddy. I got to celebrate fathers day with my daddy, who got to celebrate it with his daddy.

Lockin' Horns with My Punker

This here's my grandpa, Tim - my momma's daddy. He drove in from Houston to hang.

All my Rowdy Friends

This friend thing is a piece of cake. While I've been sitting here, upside down, kicking Mommy's ribs, I've slowly been accumulating a boatload of buddies. My cousin Chase (unpictured) was born the other day, adding my overall first cousin total to six. Speaking of cousins, here is guy that I am very excited to meet. His name is Gus Frazer and he lives in Tallahassee with my Uncle Kevin and Aunt Madolyn. I'm told we'll get to go to camp together, so Miss Becky, get the PB&J ready because we're going to be raising some hell together cousin-style in the dining hall.

This guy is kind of a hero of mine and I plan to learn a lot of important things, like cussing, from him someday. He is the original blogger, Owen Frazer.

This is my new friend, Jack Kaplan. He's one of my Houston friends, so I foresee several afternoons of horseshoes at the West Alabama Ice House that turn into Astros games in our future.

Yeah, I've got some upperclassman friends too. This is Colsen Huthmacher and he's a big boy. I'm not bragging because I hang out with older people, but actually, I kind of am.

And this hot little number is Anna Lee De Leon. I know she doesn't look like much right now, but something tells me I should look her up in 18 or so years.
